Women's folk costume of Rusenički Podgor

 

A dark yellow woolen bošča with woven stripes of purple wool, finely pleated (plisse), and ribbons for tying.

Women's vest made of velvet and lining of purchased fabric. Embroidered with floral and plant motifs in cotton and silk thread, appliqued with silver metal wire and hemp in the shape of teeth.

Women's underarm cover, a store-bought cotton fabric bra. A strip sewn on and adorned with beads and sequins of various colors.

Women's belt made of tow fabric. Floral motifs executed with sewn beads and sequins of various colors.

Women's bracelets, cufflinks made of fabric and beads. Cotton fabric decorated with stylized geometric motifs made of various colored strung beads. Plastic buttons for fastening.

Women's elbow covers, woolen knitted. Embroidered motifs of various colored beads. Worn under the shirt sleeves tied around the forearm, so they are visible.

Women's shirt made of store-bought cotton fabric. Embroidered with floral motifs in cotton thread of various colors, tinsel, tin (tinsel and tin purchased in Prizren), beads. Sides expanded with wedges.

Women's head cover, cotton fabric. Embroidered motifs of small beads of various colors.

Women's front apron, a pleated bošča, a type of apron made of wool with woven and embroidered stylized floral motifs in wool of various colors, small beads. Floral motifs adorned with various colored beads and hand-sewn sequins.

Women's socks, woolen knitted motifs, embroidery of beads, sequins, zigzag line on the knit. Knitting technique on five needles straight and reverse. Knee-high, tied with woolen ribbons.

 

Men's folk costume of Rusenički Podgor

 

The traditional men's costume was made of wool, čakšire podturlije and preklopnik tied with a striped woven colorful belt, black woolen socks and leather moccasins protected the feet, a koporan of the same cut but with sleeves reaching the elbows was worn over the preklopnik, a fur hat was worn on the head.
