Serbian clothing pattern in Osojane (area of Istok),

 late 19th and first half of the 20th century

The traditional costume throughout the Metohija region consisted mainly of the same type of garments. Metohija shirts were mostly made of hemp fabric, decorated on the sleeve and chest.

The embroidery on the chest was done on a rectangular piece of fabric, which was then sewn onto the chest and shoulders of the shirt.
